Since 2001 Paramarta has made a concentrated effort to reduce injuries in two targeted areas: hands/fingers/wrists and back injuries. The division is proud to announce that it has achieved a 42 percent reduction in reported hands/fingers/wrists injuries as well as a 33 percent reduction in reported back injuries.

The division attributes its success to the continued management commitment and the Behavior Based Safety Initiative, Incident Free Operations (IFO). IFO is the process of setting achievable goals that are managed at the rig by the most junior to the most senior employee. Ultimately it is up to the rig-based employees to work incident free.
